SHOOT FOR CYSTINOSIS

"SHOOT FOR CYSTINOSIS" CHARITY SHOOT - Decew Gun Club - Thorold Ontario

In conjunction with the Decew Gun Club and the Niagara Peninsula Pistol Club we have held 7 successful "Shoot for Cystinosis" charity shoots for children living with Cystinosis, a rare, incurable disease that slowly destroys the organs in the body. There is only one known case in the Niagara Region and our purpose is to raise funds for Cystinosis research because the only money for research comes directly from donations and fundraisers.

For the low price of $25 each person gets a practice target, a competition target, lunch and a raffle ticket. Guests will also be able to fire different kinds of firearms for an additional fee. The shoot is open to everyone in the community (adults and children alike) and no shooting experience or license is necessary. We have many great volunteers manning the firing line, providing a very professional and safe shooting line. There is no charge for spectators.

In the six years we have been hosting this event we have raised over $138,000 for Cystinosis Research and 100% of the money raised has been donated to “The Canadian Cystinosis Research Foundation” to fund ongoing research for a cure. A big shout out to all those that supported this great cause by attending, sponsoring and volunteering.
